Binge
& Purge is the first Torok album
recorded with a full band. Binge & Purge is also the first Torok CD to
have people other than Mike or Bryan involved in the writing process. Matt
Graunke contributed on the songs "Shame" and "Free",
Aaron Davis co-wrote "Amidst the lies" and Eric Althaus helped
in the arrangements of all the tracks on Binge & Purge. Binge &
Purge was recorded like records from the 70s, virtually live with minimal
overdubs. Bryan and Mike purposely wanted to go for a "loose rock
vibe" after the very mechanically rigid Silence CD. They also wanted
a more straight forward heavy hard rock feel throughout the whole CD. For
this reason there are no ballads on Binge & Purge. Released in
December of 2001, Binge & Purge has received very positive initial
response and will be promoted by the band and Nightmare Records throughout
2002.

"Silence"
was the first CD the band Torok
released back in 1996. Recorded with drum machines and drum loops (the
industrial thing was cool then) Silence seemed
to be either liked or hated, there was no 'middle ground'. With folk
ballads, like title track "Silence",
and layered drum patterned industrial metal tracks like "It
could be you", Silence
spanned many genres of music. Silence
is an eclectic CD and also very original.

Currently
out of print, "Torok"
was the first recording Mike and Bryan did together. There were 500
initial copies
made to cassette, and they all sold out within only weeks of it's release.
To date there has not been a CD re-release of this album, but the band is
currently considering solicited offers.
