Hurts 2B Human

Starting out with a high energy and immensely catchy tune, “Hustle”, Hurts 2B Human by P!nk left a great first impression on me. Moving on to a track with a killer beat, “(Hey Why)Miss You Sometimes”, the album continues to win favor with me. “Walk Me Home” has an indie flavor that gave me chills and made me smile. It is a very powerful song and displays her creativity. Continuing the indie feels, “My Attic”, has a vibe and groove I think I might have fallen in love with, sorry ladies.

“90 Days” kicks of with cool piano chords that caught my ear immediately, but the vocals swooped in and stole the show, they took my full attention. The mix of P!nk and Wrabel’s voices plus some autotune backing is pure fire. Picking up that indie vibe again at the beginning, “Hurts 2B Human”, continues to keep me smiling with its neat beat and killer vocals. “Can We Pretend” brings us a dance vibe that really radiated with me considering what I make music wise, I just wanted to do dance around to this song. “Courage” is a very real song and you can feel it. The lyrics are on point and the beat of the track is incredible which is accompanied perfectly by an excellent piano element.

“Happy” starts with a chill guitar and is heavy in terms of lyrical content, but is shipped, handled, and perfectly delivered to your ears. “We Could Have It All” runs out of the gate with a strong, quick beat and P!nk’s well controlled vocals. The third to last song on the album, “Love Me Anyway”, is a very lovely ballad that mixes pop with country in a great way which is out of character for me to say. P!nk and Chris Stapleton seem mix well. “Circle Game” is another real song and that is definitely a ‘P!nk’ thing to do. Do you think I like her?

The finale, appropriately titled “The Last Song Of Your Life”, starts soft and sweet and I love it. It is a very nice way to close out an album that I truly enjoyed. The lyrics are great and the vibe feels good. With that title, I was not sure what to expect; however, I think it is a good one. Overall, Hurts 2B Human is an excellent album and has impressed me. I recommend this album to everyone, you will enjoy it. Buy it or stream it, the choice is yours, but definitely give it a listen.

I am not a huge fan of pop music. In fact, I usually have a disdain for it, but I always give P!nk a chance because she always surprises and she totally did. I think maybe it is time I give pop music a chance, but we shall see if I do or not. Maybe I will give it a try and I will not have to retreat to the always inviting embrace of death metal.

Anyway, thanks for reading my words and go listen to Hurts 2B Human!

Peace and much love,
Torok
